Divine Design

We have no peace because we are being pulled in every direction. Every day we face pressure, stress, and multiple demands. We have no time to stop and effectively evaluate where we are going. We live by the seat of our pants and hope it turns out okay.
In the short term we can run the race. We can keep up the frantic pace and try to get it all done right now. If we allow ourselves to be pulled in every direction by life’s demands, ultimately, what’s the price?
The book of Ephesians was written to instruct the church on how we are supposed to live in a fallen, pressure packed world. The first three chapters are doctrine; the last three are practical. Colossians was written to explain the pre-eminence of Christ and what it looks like to live out His prominence in every aspect of our lives. Note that after the clear doctrinal teaching, both books apply that truth to our lives in a very systematic manner, beginning with a relationship with God and then moving to relationships with others. The thought of living a linear life: Put God first, mate second and so on is not always realistic in this fast paced world. There may be days when you spend 15 hours at work and not even see your family.
So we need to view these priorities as concentric circles, one depending on the other. If we are fully connected in our relationship with God then from that relationship will flow the love and energy to your mate and that relationship will overflow to your children, workplace, ministry, and so on.
A prioritized life is God’s divine design. We all have 168 hours per week. You can never get those hours back. Living under God’s priorities rather than living under the world’s pressure, will bring us power and peace. That’s what Biblical priorities are all about. You need to determine how much time you need with God, spouse, family. It all takes time and effort. But in the end, searching out God’s peace through His World will bring the peace you have been searching for.
The Bible study on Wednesday and Sunday nights at Christian Community Church, help to bring God’s Word to life. Divine design for you life…..consider it!
